‘oh, not there’

'oh, not there' This morning, CC Rider, dropped me and my Kymco People scooter off at Scuderia. My scooter is having some mechanical problems, hye.. well, it won’t start, absolutely, but it’s also gonna be nice to get some other cosmetic and comfort aspects taken care of. — having a scooter in this town makes life easier to get around, — while waiting for me gal friend, Paula, to pick me up in her Honda Prius, I did a little pm30 photo dirge, and picked up some wall art near by. Enjoy the sunshine in San Francisco, folks..

Popzeit 2nd book project: 2015

Popzeit 2nd book project: 2015

Buon afternoon, as my gal friend, Paula is out discovering the cherry blossoms in bloom in our Sunset neighborhood, I am at home in my home office:  a place, I have fashioned after a favorite childhood past time, of imagining my living room, to be the interior of Han Solo’s Millinium Falcon. I call it something like, my ‘Han Solo-Beastie Boys’ creative cockpit; and a pair of Pop tarts are never far, and keepin’ the Illy coffee coming.

Today, I have set forth a 2nd Tokyo book project, this one being more of a designer’s sketch of my photo junket experience after traveling to Tokyo so many times. It was such an inspiration for coming up with my photographic and travel style. Creating a photo book of purely the photos, has been a good way of getting started and of sharing the nuggets from those trips with other cool folks in my network.

But a more intensive work-over, using all of the creative arts material I’ve amassed over the years, I think is  a better way to help the reader understand and grasp the adventures that happened there.  And hopefully set the tone for further travel in Nippon, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mongolia & Taiwan. At first with my new life-partner, Miss Paula Mak, and potentially later, as a consultant to photographers, food professionals and people who love to travel. I could see myself as a tour guide and consultant, in this manor.

Please enjoy the rest of your weekend, before Taxes are due.  Ja mata! eh, ciao for now~

she asked me if we could grow our own Japanese Sakura, cherry blossom tree in our back yard one day.  I think we could do that PM 😉

Georgia O’Keeffe Lake George works

LakeGeorge

Along with eating Sunset Nieghbs tap pas we saw a special selection of Georgia O’Keeffe’s Lake George paintings — which come from an area of upper state New York, the Adirondack Mountains. My friend James is is particular to this area of the country, and likes to spend some time there.
We’ve had some pretty cool chances, the three of us, Dino, James and myself, to see some wonderful art at the DeYoung, but also, going to The Social brew pub, has given us the chance to enjoy a little ‘bro-sabath’ — an entirely unreligious thing, where relaxing at the pub on sunday, and dining on good pub grub and slog gin some beers, has been a great way to unwind after the busy week, that came before.
The photos below were taken at The Social Brew Pub, at 9th and Irving in the sunset district of San Francisco.  –click on the first image to enlarge and play a slide show —

Illy coffee in North Beach

Illy coffee in North Beach

This morning, while waiting for my scooter to be repaired, I spent some quality time in North Beach district of San Francisco. I had some rather cold and greasy dim sum, but a fantastically made cappuccino from the Cafe Greco. These guys really know how to sling espresso and milk. And I noticed that in North Beach, the SF Chronicle is .75 $ cents when grouped with the Tsing Dao daily newspaper. cool beans
